Jack and Jill by keithdraws Jack and Jill by keithdraws
Well jack went up the hill and fell, but now you know why Jill came tumbling after. Another character sheet for the Novel by Robert Bear. Not sure yet if I need to colour it.

Thanks to any one who favs this :)

What kind of well did they fetch that water from?

This looks to be an 'effect' merging rather than a genetic anomoly.

I always like chimeric characters, and you've certainly rendered these well.

Thankyou

All the characters in this novel have been made by magic and surgery by another character and are in no way natural

yeah, the characters created from a forced merge are always more creepy.
Especially if it's a back-alley 'Franken-quack' hack job.

Does their Health Insurance even cover this kind of procedure??

Thanks. I use them as a base for the colour, if it goes that far! :)

I love not only the faces but the consistency in the faces - that's something I have a hard time with, maintaining the same persona from one angle to the next in a person, but these are perfect. Did you use references?

Thanks man. When I'm drawing faces (in fact not only faces.. almost anything) I always use reference, its the only way to be accurate. My memory just isn't that good

That's cool, not to begrudge anyone's skill but people who do it all by memory just seem so... rehearsed and mechanical, if that makes sense.

I know what your saying. I think I mentioned in one of my journals that I used to be a visualiser, working straight from my head for quite some time. I basically worked to a formula to maintain consistency, but may of my works looked very similar and I wouldn't say they were near as well produced as the work I do now (though I still have plenty of room to improve). Perhaps many of those artists use similar principles.
